Job Description

Three Strands is a Wilderness based Treatment program for adolescents and young adults struggling with substance abuse. Three Strands utilizes experiential therapies, wilderness expeditions, ranching, livestock care, trauma informed treatment methods, and various other approaches to treat chemical dependence, substance abuse, and co-occurring disorders. Three Strands will start out as a male only program and we will grow into a male and female program in the next couple years. We are a team passionate about bringing Hope. Grit. Healing. to those in need and believe our approach is unlike any other program in existence today.
Field Guide works directly with a cohort of up to 10 students with an 8-day on/6-day off work schedule, and one other field guide.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age with at minimum a Bachelor’s college degree, possess current WFR & CPR certifications (or is willing to get them), comfortable in a wilderness setting, demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills.

Field Guide Responsibilities:

Maintaining a high-level of therapeutic care during field expedition experiences for our clients.
Operating trips within our Policies and Procedures.
Daily communication with leadership team while in the field.
In charge of implementing safety protocol, evacuation protocol, and all other safety measures while in the field.
In charge of assisting in recruitment and hiring of guide staff as deemed necessary by executive team.
In charge of Route planning for trips
Collaborating with Client Support Manager on all food logistics and quantities.
Maintaining all field gear
Leading field expeditions and adhering to field curriculum.


$36,000+/ Year Salary *depending on experience*
Bi-weekly pay
5 days of PTO/year
